1. Who We Are

Techly Prestart is a workplace vehicle pre-start inspection and safety checklist application. It helps operators complete vehicle checks, report issues, keep inspection history, and allow authorized administrators to manage vehicles, users, templates, submissions, and safety issues.

In this policy, "Techly Prestart", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Techly Prestart application. "You" refers to the person using the application.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your role and how your organization configures the service, we may collect and process the following information:

• Account information: name, email address, employee identifier, role, tenant or company, login status, and authentication tokens.
• Vehicle and asset information: vehicle identifiers, vehicle numbers, registration numbers, asset codes, vehicle types, and vehicle status.
• Inspection information: checklist templates, checklist answers, issue flags, issue notes, submission IDs, inspection timestamps, sync status, and inspection history.
• Administrative information: user management records, template changes, issue status updates, dashboard data, and export requests created by authorized administrators.
• Support information: information you provide when requesting help, such as your email address and the message you submit.
• Technical information: app version, device and network diagnostics, IP address, API request metadata, error logs, and security audit logs generated when the app communicates with our backend systems.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

Techly Prestart supports offline use. To provide that functionality, the app may store session data, cached vehicle and checklist data, draft answers, pending inspection submissions, recent vehicle selections, and inspection history on your device. This local data is used to let you continue working when the network is unavailable and to sync records when connectivity returns.

4. App Permissions

The current Techly Prestart mobile app does not request access to your precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, calendar, health data, or advertising identifier. If this changes in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required App Store or Google Play disclosures.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Authenticate users and manage secure access to the app.
• Display the correct vehicles, checklist templates, inspection history, and administrative tools.
• Record, sync, review, and export vehicle inspection submissions.
• Track and manage reported safety issues.
• Provide offline functionality and retry failed syncs.
• Maintain security, prevent unauthorized access, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.
• Respond to support requests and service-related communications.
• Comply with legal, safety, audit, and operational obligations.

6. Legal Bases For Processing

Where applicable privacy laws require a legal basis, we process information because it is necessary to provide the service, fulfill workplace safety and operational requirements, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or because consent has been provided where required.

7. Sharing Of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed with:

• Your organization: inspection records, safety issues, user records, and administrative information may be visible to your employer, company, site, tenant, or other authorized organization administrators.
• Service providers: cloud hosting, database, authentication, email, security, logging, and support providers that help us operate the app.
• Legal or safety recipients: regulators, law enforcement, courts, insurers, auditors, or safety investigators where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transfers: a buyer, successor, or adviser if the service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.

8. Third-Party Services

Techly Prestart uses backend and infrastructure providers to host, secure, and operate the service. These providers may process data on our behalf according to their own security and privacy terms. The app currently communicates with backend services hosted through Supabase infrastructure.

9. Advertising And Tracking

Techly Prestart is not designed to show third-party advertising, sell personal information, or track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes. We do not use the app to collect the Apple IDFA or Android advertising ID for advertising tracking.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, secure token storage, role-based permissions, and backend security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, support workplace safety records, meet legal or audit requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Offline pending submissions stored on your device may be removed by the app after they expire or once they are successfully synced, depending on app behavior and retention settings.

12. Your Choices And Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. If you use Techly Prestart through your employer or organization, you may need to contact that organization first because it may control the inspection and account records processed through the app.

You can also remove locally stored app data by using your device settings to clear app data or uninstall the app. Removing local data may affect offline access, pending submissions, and saved login sessions.

13. International Transfers

Information may be processed and stored in countries other than the country where you live or work. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

14. Children's Privacy

Techly Prestart is intended for workplace use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age required by applicable local law.

15. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, by email, or through your organization where appropriate.
